Presentations... I am fortunate enough to teach science in a school where every student has access to a laptop. Though we use these laptops quite a bit for data analysis, just-in-time research, etc., I regularly remind my students about the importance of focusing the class's overall goal during class. In a recent class, student teams were presenting their research project. Several of the teams used some sort of online interactive, e.g Kahoot, to enhance their presentation. I was dismayed sitting in the back of the class at the number of students who had at least one window open on their computer showing something totally unrelated to the presentations. This after I had reminded them before the activity to stay on task!
